This project involved expanding an existing two retail space optometrist’s office into an additional 1,000 SF bay of a subdivided 4 bay building and then renovating the other existing two bays to create one continuous office space. The work was performed in 3 complex phases to allow the Doctor’s practice to operate with minimal interruptions. Work included new walls, raising the existing ceiling elevation in the main entry area to create a dramatic waiting and display case area. Custom display casework was provided from California, and a new reception desk with Quartz transaction top. The storefront was modified from dated mill finish aluminum storefront to insulated knee wall with slate stone and energy efficient thermal windows. New paint and modern flooring were utilized with new solid core oak doors and tegular edge ceiling tiles to round out the finish upgrades. The functional space added three exam rooms, a lab room, new ADA bathroom and employee break room with kitchenette.   Mechanical and plumbing were design build. Electrical systems and new LED light fixtures bring modern and efficient lighting to the new space.
