This project consisted of three new townhomes with two buildings containing five 1,200 SF apartment units and one building containing two 1,200 SF units. The units were designed for lower income individuals. Each of the 5 unit buildings contained a garden unit on the ground floor with ADA compliant features. All of the units utilized “universal” design to provide a more tenant friendly environment for those with minor physical challenges. The units are wood frame structures with brick veneer and “Hardie” board cementitious siding. The upper floor units were provided with a wood deck at the rear entrance for recreation. The project started late in the year and some adverse weather conditions were encountered, but the project was completed ahead of schedule. All of the units were occupied ahead of schedule which allowed tax credits to be fully utilized.
