Delmar Commercial Property

This project consisted of a historic rehab of an approximate 9100 square foot building located on Delmar Blvd. This project held many challenges to bring this old original bank building into a total of 6 individual leasable Commercial/Retail spaces. Some of these challenges came about when the original 24” concrete bank vault “surround” was located in the rear of the building and had to be removed. Another challenge was when the front in-fills were removed to make room for the new historic storefronts, the front wall began to move. Through quick thinking of the R. G. Ross Superintendent, and further assistance from the structural engineer and the architect, the front wall was able to be stabilized and the building saved. This project was a 2005 winner of the Landmark Award.
