Alpha Terrace Apartments
This approximate 46,000 square foot low income housing project consisted of select gut rehab of 150 (1) bedroom units. The project also had select rehab of the common areas. The exterior load bearing masonry had to be completely resealed. The existing roofing material was removed and replaced with a single ply membrane roofing. One of the biggest challenges was working in each wing as a separate phase and relocating the (63) existing tenants into each phase as it became completed with as little disruption as possible. In addition the (2) existing elevators had to be brought up to code while they were needed for construction and tenant use. Overall coordination and tenant safety was the highest priority on this project.
